"Columbine" by Dave Cullen
(Gets kudos for resisting the temptation to do some lurid "true crime" kind of cover design. This is simple and very effective.)
Three Quickies
1. The H1N1 scare at work ended up being just that ... a scare. We found out on Tuesday that the co-worker didn't have to go get tested after all. Makes me wonder why she told us that she was being tested in the first place.
2. I finished up Season One of "True Blood" and it was really awesome. I am now on to reading the second of the Southern Vampire Mysteries books, "Living Dead in Dallas."
3. Being smitten really sucks ... and I mean REALLY SUCKS.
Out Now for Your Reading Pleasure!

You should drop everything you are doing right now and order a copy of "Tender Graces!" It the debut novel by my pal Kathryn Magendie that just came out this week. There will be a book signing at Osondu's Booksellers this coming Friday. All the cool kids are gonna be there, so sure to reserve your space!
Go, Kat … Go!!!
This Month!

It's now April and that means that the next volume of "The Complete Peanuts" will be dropping into stores! "The Complete Peanuts: 1967-1968" is Volume Nine of the 25 Volume set.
Scary thing to think about is that it will be 2016 when Volume 25 of "The Complete Peanuts" is published and I will be 45 years old.
Several Days Later
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. It's been a busy week and I haven't had much to say.
I did get two sweet birthday gifts over the weekend thanks to Scott and Franke ...
Scott's 2-Part Gift (Warning: It's definitely NSFW!)
Franke's Gift (Mmmmm. Brains!)
I heart Zombies, Brains and Leather Toys!
In other news:
"Cabaret" started it's final five performances last night ... all of which are sold out! It's been great having the show sell really well but I, for one, am ready to put this one to bed. It's been a year of thinking and planning, casting, seven weeks of rehearsals, four weekends of performances.
"28 Weeks Later" is coming from Netflix and that makes me excited. It's gotten a lot of good buzz.
Echo Bridge's new anamorphic widescreen release of "Prom Night" is now mine. That makes me super-duper excited!!!

And don't forget that "The Complete Peanuts: 1965-1966" is now in stores for your purchasing pleasure!

Hump Day Update
Whoo. The week is half done and there's a three day weekend on the horizon.
Rawk!
I do have some major projects I need to work on this weekend though. The dvd sets of "Rome" and general laziness have kept me from getting stuff done.

I have been really diggin' on "Rome." But I will agree with Scott that the second season doesn't quite live up to the first ... though it's still entertaining will all the blood, guts, sex and treachery.

Coming out next week will be a new collection of short stories from Irvine Welsh entitled "If You Liked School, You'll Love Work." How hot is it that two Irvine Welsh books have hit the states this year? Very hot.
"Cabaret" is currently homeless. "Jake's Women" opens this coming weekend and we are now out of the building. Last night and tonight we are at MusicWorks!. Tomorrow we get to go sweat ourselves silly in The Barn. Everyone is getting really excited as our date to take over the main auditorium looms closer and closer. Here are some photos from a music rehearsal last week (no captions 'cause I am lazy) ...
